Yes Bank is one of the leading banks in India. We worked with them to build a platform to help their employees efficiently handle day-to-day work reporting and presentations. I worked with the team as a UX Designer to define the architecture and design a new product called 'Yesbank Sarvesh'.
Teams at Yes Bank follow periodic publishing of various reports, documents, and proposals to the company management on emails at varying frequencies. Employees were experiencing usability issues with this workflow.
The business team wanted to host these periodic publications at a single point that all the employees and senior management can access at their convenience.
Need to understand the user’s needs, pain points, frustrations, and expectations. I conducted 5 interview sessions with the users. We have two broad categories.
Need document hosting platform that is easy to use and removes the need of transferring reports over email
Employees and the leadership should be able to access documents as per their roles
Need a repository of documents that also has filters based on the report owner's department and teams
Designing a cloud-based documentation experience for Yes Bank employees and management
Scalable across Yes Bank entities and able to upgrade with additional tools
I split the system flows and structure into two interdependent parts that coincide with two different user types. They will be able to access the system components based on their access level.
Based on the task flows and information architecture, I sketched design layouts to build screens for the system. Building keyframes helped to receive quicker stakeholder reviews and feedback on the system elements.
Desktop is the primary device
Creator to have partial functionalities on mobile, full mobile web version for the Reader to consume reports
Yes Bank employees can create reports using the available tools and publish them for the concerned team members and company leadership to consume. Reports Dashboard shows the database of reports created.
Users can initiate a new report creation flow by clicking on the button on Reports Dashboard. They are taken to the editor window, where they can compose the report using available tools and live preview, and published it on the system for others to consume.
For the first version, the company leadership and management-level employees can use the One View Dashboard for accessing the reports created by employees. Our aim was to simplify the report consumption and increase overall flexibility of processes.
One View Dashboard helps the company leadership and management-level employees access reports. The aim is to add flexibility and simplicity to the workflow.
The product is planned to be launched in 2022 after testing and user feedback. Considering the scale of the business and the wide range of stakeholders, it will have a significant impact on the daily operations.
