A Use Case for Bluetooth Mesh Infrastructure Project

Public Transportation Tracker is based on a BT5 Proximity Mesh Network Infrastructure technology developed by our team.

It is designed to provide a low energy solution for accessing real-time data related to the intra-city public transport network. It’s a sustainable network for system units based on Bluetooth 5 Mesh Network, and utilize its power to augment the real-time capabilities of GPS technology.

For this small project, we conducted a design sprint to design and develop a mobile application to accompany the backend Bluetooth infrastructure network and tested the use case locally in co-operation with Nashik and Mumbai civic transportation authority.

UI DESIGN AND FLOW

ITERATION 1

User can search for a bus route/bus stop details from the directory. Live bus location details are available to the user on map.

ITERATION 2

During the next iterations after conducting initial tests and receiving feedback, we reworked on the design elements including layout, typography, and colors. The new color scheme is adapted from Facebook’s native guidelines with the base color.
